Avoiding toxic chemicals in your home is just as important as steering clear of toxins in your body. Finding natural cleaning solutions for your home is important for your overall health because the chemicals in regular cleaning products can be inhaled or absorbed through your skin. It’s alarming that U.S. law allows cleaning product manufacturers to use nearly any ingredient, including known carcinogens.

Keep Cleaning Natural and Easy

In previous posts, I’ve emphasized my love for simplicity in everything I do, cleaning included! The simplest and most cost-effective solution I’ve found for easy natural cleaning solutions without harsh chemicals is Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap. It offers a variety of uses, with 18 different options. Using Dr. Bronner’s is straightforward: a small amount mixed with warm water, sometimes with vinegar or essential oils depending on the task, and that’s all it takes. It’s easy, and a single bottle lasts a long time because of how much you need to dilute it.

We particularly love using Dr. Bronner’s for making foaming hand soap. Just a squirt into a foaming dispenser filled with warm water, a quick shake, and voila! It may take a bit of trial and error to find the right amount, but a little goes a long way. We use refillable glass bottles with foaming dispensers at every sink in our home.

Mopping our floors to get footprints off and extra stuff from the dogs tracking it in from outside is a frequent occurrence in our house. We rely on a spray mop for easy cleaning. Mixing a squirt of Dr. Bronner’s, a bit of vinegar, and warm water in the mop makes floor cleaning quick and efficient.

For tougher jobs like cleaning toilets and bathtubs, Dr. Bronner’s again proves its worth. A small amount mixed with warm water and some scrubbing easily gets grime.

Dr. Bronner’s is used for a long list of things with some different recipes. You can even wash your hair and brush your teeth! I’ve never tried it for that but how cool.

I usually just eye-ball my recipes but if you like exact measurements for everything I’ll link it, here

Another Great All Natural Brand

We’ve tried a few different natural cleaning solutions for our laundry and dishwashing but our favorite has been Molly Suds! I know you can use the Dr.Bronners for those things as well, we just have not tried it yet. We’ve tried other natural laundry detergents but I never felt like my clothes and towels were getting as clean as I wanted them to. When we started using Molly Suds, I quickly began to love it. We currently use the Ocean Mist scent, and it’s my favorite so far. It’s not an overwhelming smell but it does leave a nice, fresh scent on our clothes!

When we used dishwasher pods from other brands I noticed a white residue/ film on our glasses but with Molly Suds they have been sparkly clean! We usually buy the unscented because I don’t like my dishes to smell a certain way, as long as they look and feel clean, i’m happy! We also use the same brand liquid dish soap for cleaning our hand wash items. It’s more liquid than the gel-like soaps I’m used to, but it stll lathers up nicely like other soaps.

I need your suggestions

I’ve tried a number of different all-purpose sprays but I haven’t found one we want to keep buying over and over! We bought the starter pack for BlueLand and the tablets for all the different sprays, it was fine for just wiping something easy down but we would have to use so much of it and it didn’t feel super clean after. I’m are going to try Dr. Bronner’s as our all purpose spray, we haven’t done this before because some people say it’s too much for granite but I will give it a try and report back!
